CBS-KNAW Fungal Biodiversity Institute, Fungal Physiology group
While the CBS as a whole has a strong focus on fungal taxonomy, the Fungal Physiology group is mainly focused on the understanding of how fungi use natural carbon sources, in particular plant biomass. Within this topic we study extracellular enzymes, metabolic pathways and regulatory systems using model species and use this data to explore fungal biodiversity with respect to this topic.
